PRE-CONSULTATION

Once you have decided to book your session and you have secured your spot with your session fee, we will set up a time for our first meeting, either via phone or in person, where we will discuss the details of the shoot.  We will decide on the date, time, and location of your shoot, your wardobe, props, themes, overall style, and discuss the products you are interested in purchasing to display your images.  It is important to decide how you wish to display your images before you photo session because I shoot with the end result in mind.  A client that wants albums is going to require a much different set of images compared to client that wants to create a wall collage above their couch.

 

PORTRAIT SESSION

Beautiful lighting is one of the main ingredients to stunning images.  I will be placing you in beautiful pockets of light and give you direction on how to best pose in each situtation.  Some images I will have you smile, others times I may ask you for a more serious look, but most importantly we want to make sure we are having fun!  For photoshoots with younger children I will mix posed shots with lifestyle images to try to capture your child's most natural smiles - and I will look like a goon trying everything in my bag of tricks to get your child to smile!
 

ORDERING APPOINTMENT

Two to three weeks after your portrait session will meet at your house for an in-person reveal and ordering appointment. We will watch a slideshow of your gallery which will include all the fully edited images from your session.  We will review your display needs discussed during the pre-consultation and begin picking out your images.  There are two ways to purchase digital files, prints and/or products. You may purchase digital files only – A La Carte – or you may choose to invest via a portrait collection. Our “Create Your Own Collection” allows you to customize a portrait package according to your own needs with pricing that is a better value than a la carte, and includes ALL digital files from your session. All products must be paid in full at the time of your ordering appointment.  Any images not purchased and paid in full during your ordering appointment will be permanently removed from our database.  It will take about two to three weeks for your products to arrive (a little longer for custom album designs).  Once your products arrive we will email you to confirm a pick up date and time.

ORDERING GIFT PRINTS

I do not currently offer prints smaller than 11x14 at the ordering session.  However, I do recognize that my clients and their relatives still want to print photos in 8x10, 5x7, and 4x6 print sizes. So, along with a USB drive of your images, I also upload your images to my print fulfillment site which will link you to my professional lab. They will provide you with a printed product that is on par with what I would print for you. This printer is a pro-level lab, so they will match the color calibration information in the files and properly print the images. Their prices are competitive with other consumer labs. Products will be shipped to me for final inspection and I will contact you once they arrive for pick up.  It is an easy process, but we know this can be intimidating for some clients, so I will be available for help should you need it. This online ordering gallery will be available for one month after you ordering session and is only available for the clients who have purchased all of their digital negatives.
