Mother's Day Limited Edition Model Call
I met the Lawrence Family through my involvement with Cape Fear Academy's New Oasis International Student Program. They are an adorable Christian family with giant hearts. They are currently hosting a student from China! Josh at the moment of this post is doing mission work in Spain, and in July, Janessa will be doing mission work in SE Asia. (Click here to support her!). Back in December I had the pleasure of photographing Janessa, Josh, Baby K, and their exchange student, Si, for their holiday cards. We went out to Smith Creek Park just before sunset. I remember it was such a chilly afternoon. The family bundled up in their cutest outdoor wear and smiled through the wind chill.

In April I decided I wanted to open my studio up to some Mother's Day inspired Limited Edition Sessions. I immediately thought about super chill Baby K and her beautiful mamma! I gave Janessa a quick call and she was more than eager to seize the opportunity to model for my bohemian inspired mother's day mommy and me limited edition mini sessions. We schedule the session to happen right away! We were both so eager to see the set in use.
Janessa and I talked about wardrobe, hair, and makeup. She came to the studio with perfectly done lips & fun curly hair with plenty of wardrobe options in hand. I chose my top three outfit choices, and even threw in an option from my own collection - a beautiful open back- crocheted top maxi dress in a deep raspberry pink color and a light pink tutu dress for Baby K. Janessa and Baby K went into the dressing room to try on the options and ended up choosing the outfit I provided. It fit them both perfectly and really complimented not only their skin tones, but the set as well!
We had a great time working together on the set being playful with Baby K and giving a well deserved mama some beautiful portraits of herself. In the end Janessa receive 10 images that I know she will look back on a say, Yes! I am an beautiful strong mother and amazing role model for my daughter.
